​In 2022, SONI and EirGrid published an Operational Policy Roadmap out to 2030 setting out their targets for evolving key operational policies related to facilitating increased levels of renewable generation on the power system. These targets included increases in the System Non-Synchronous Penetration (SNSP) limit and reductions in the Minimum Number of Units (MNOU) requirements. This 2025 update to the Operational Policy Roadmap reflects the current state of implementation, new initiatives, challenges, updated policies and targets out to 2035.

As part of the Future Arrangements for Systems Services design and implementation, SONI are today publishing the TSOs' Phased Implementation Roadmap V2.0 as requested by the SEM Committee (SEM-23-103)

The DASSA Design Recommendations Paper sets out the TSOs recommendations for the design of the DASSA, which aims to establish a robust framework for the procurement of system services on a day-ahead basis. The design recommendations presented in this paper are subject to approval by the SEM Committee and are intended to align with the broader objectives of the System Services Future Arrangements initiative.

SONI and EirGrid held a virtual industry workshop on Thursday 5th September 2024, where the TSOs and our partners Afry presented the All-Island System Services Supplier Charge Consultation Paper and hosted a Q&A session. This document contains the questions asked at the workshop and the TSOs' responses.
