The Load Flow Control Block Operational Agreement document (hereafter referred to as “LFCBOA”) applies to the Block of Ireland (IE) and Northern Ireland (NI) and contains the Agreement required by Article 119 of Commission Regulation (EU) 2017/1485 of 2 August 2017 establishing a guideline on electricity transmission system operation (hereafter referred to as “SOGL”). Article 3 of the LFCBOA, sets out the ramping restrictions for active power output in accordance with SOGL Article 137(3) and (4).

Each year, SONI publishes the Winter Outlook which sets out our assessment of the expected consumer demand for electricity against the expected available generation over the winter period. This Addendum to the Winter Outlook 2024/25 has been published due to circumstances that amount to a material change in the initial outlook.
